Bamboo Clothing is a sustainable clothing brand founded in 2006 by David Gordon. The company is headquartered in Plymouth, Devon, in the UK. It all started with David alone, running the business from his garage, but today the company has grown to have a team of 40 people. David wanted to create a viable business that will be both socially and environmentally friendly. 

Bamboo Clothing offers a wide range of sustainable bamboo activewear for both men and women. Its range of products includes anything from base layers, shirts, jumpers, and knitwear, through jeans, leggings, and yoga pants, to underwear and accessories.

Bamboo Clothing Delivery

If ordering to the UK, you can choose between Standard and Next Day delivery. Both deliveries are tracked. Standard orders are usually dispatched within 2-4 days. You'll be charged £3.95 for the Standard delivery (free delivery is available on orders over £50). Orders are handled by Royal Mail, while DHL is used for the Next Day delivery. Next Day delivery is available for £7.99. You should place your order by 1 pm, Monday to Thursday. Orders placed on Friday by 1 pm will be delivered on Monday. Bamboo Clothing Returns

Bamboo Clothing offers free returns on all unworn clothing garments (you can try on everything, except underwear). You should return the garments in their original packaging. After you've contacted Bamboo Clothing, fill out the returns form you'll find in your package and post it back along with the garments you're returning. Free returns are only available to customers from the UK mainland. If the item you’d want to return has been a gift, you can exchange it for a different style, size, or colour. Bamboo doesn't need any pesticides, fertilizers, or chemicals to grow. All it needs is natural rainfall and it can grow with no help at all. 

Where does Bamboo Clothing get its bamboo from?

Bamboo Clothing has traced its supply chain to the forests in China and can confirm its bamboo is grown in the Yunan and Sichuan provinces. After that, the bamboo is transformed into a fibre in the Hebei province. Fibres are then sold or exported to be made into a bamboo fabric.

What fabrics are available in Bamboo Clothing ranges?

Even though all fabrics used by Bamboo Clothing (woven, jersey, merino bamboo, linen bamboo, and more) share the same natural benefits of bamboo, they aren't exactly the same and each has its own weight and feel. Check its 'Fabric Guide' to find out more about each of them.

Does Bamboo Clothing use sustainable packaging?

Yes, Bamboo Clothing uses only sustainable packaging. All plastic is removed from the packaging, its mailer and underwear bags are made from fully recyclable Kraft paper, while socks packaging is made from card. Bamboo Clothing aims to be zero waste to landfill in the next 10 years. 

How should I care for my bamboo garments?

Wash your bamboo clothing on or below 40°C (104°F) and iron them on medium heat. Don't use bleach while washing, and don't tumble dry or dry clean your bamboo garments. Bamboo Merino knitwear should be hand-washed. Dry it flat and once in a while comb with a pilling comb. Make sure you check individual care instructions for each product, since they may vary.

Does Bamboo Clothing offer gift wrapping?

Yes, Bamboo Clothing offers gift wrap and box for a small surcharge of £4.95 per order. You can add a gift message at checkout, too.
