Worktop Express delivery

When placing your order, you can choose a delivery date to suit your needs. All products that are in stock are available for immediate delivery. Courier Service is used for small and medium-sized items (worktop accessories), while large items (worktops) are delivered via 2Man Delivery Service. The Worktop Express delivery team of two drivers is there to offload the goods and take care of the heavy lifting for you. Order can be delivered into a ground floor room of your choosing, as long as there is clear and safe access.

Worktop Express has more than 20,000 worktops held in stock, allowing it to deliver standard worktops via the Next Day Delivery. The service is available for orders placed before noon and to the vast majority of UK postcodes. If you are not available to accept your order during the working days, you can choose a Saturday Delivery. The service is available to numerous UK postcodes, and for an additional charge.

Delivery of large items (worktops)

Large items (worktops) are delivered via 2Man Delivery Service. This service is available to a vast majority of UK postcodes (either from Monday to Saturday or from Monday to Friday). A £15 surcharge applies to Scotland. Delivery to Northern Scotland or island locations, as well as to Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and mainland Europe is not available at the moment. You can check the 'Delivery Details' section on the Worktop Express website to check whether your postcode qualifies for a 2Man Delivery Service.

If the 2Man Delivery Service is not available to your postcode, and you need your order urgently, you can contact Worktop Express for an overnight courier service. With this service, the next day delivery is possible to the majority of mainland UK.

For a weekday delivery, you will be charged from £25.00 for the first worktop plus an additional charge of £15 for every next worktop you order. Charges are capped at four worktops. For the Saturday delivery, you will be charged £40 for the first worktop. The same surcharge applies for additional worktops as for the weekday delivery. You can expect your order between 7:30 am and 6 pm on weekdays, and between 7 am and 3 pm on Saturdays. Before the delivery, you will receive an email with a 2-hour delivery timeslot, as well as a courtesy call from one of the Worktop Express delivery team members, 30 minutes before their arrival.

If ordering 10 or more worktops online, someone from the Worktop Express customer service team will contact you with an accurate delivery cost and courier option suitable for your order.

Delivery of small items (worktop accessories)

This is a one-man service so a suitably able person must be at the delivery address, ready to help the driver when offloading the items. Please note that a standard worktop can weigh between 45 to 85 kilograms. The driver can deliver the items only to the nearest ground floor access point of the building. 

Is there a collection point where I can pick up my order?

The collection is available from several depots, including the ones in Gloucester, Birmingham, and Glasgow. It will be arranged within 1-2 working days from the day you placed the order. Someone will contact you via phone once everything is ready. You will be responsible for loading the goods onto your vehicle so you should ensure there is someone who can help you. Worktop Express is not responsible for an injury that may occur during the loading of the goods, unless the injury is caused by its negligence.

You must inspect the goods for damage or shortfall before leaving the depot, and in the presence of a Worktop Express team member. You will have to sign the collection note. Worktop Express cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of the goods that can happen during transportation.

How do I store my worktops before installation?

Worktops should be oiled as soon as you received them and installed shortly after. It is recommended you use Rustins Danish Oil for all worktops (including the pre-oiled ones). If you must store your worktops before the installations, you should store them flat, on bearers, and in a damp-free environment. 

Worktop Express installation and aftercare

Worktop Express offers several user-friendly installation and maintenance guides for different worktops. As it is essential to install goods as stipulated, and take good care of them after, you should read the guides carefully. Among the Worktop Accessories available in its online shop, you will find different installation and maintenance, such as worktop oils, adhesives, router jigs, worktop cleaners, and many others.

What is the Worktop Express returns policy?

If not satisfied with your order, you can return any standard-sized, un-oiled item within 14 days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays) of the delivery. Worktop Express will arrange a collection but you will be responsible for all collection charges (no less than £50.00), except if the item arrived damaged or faulty, is misdescribed or is not the one you had ordered. Alternatively, the customer can arrange transportation and will be responsible for all transportation charges as well as for the item until it arrives at the warehouse from which it has been dispatched. All of the items must be returned in their original packaging. If the value of the item you are returning has been diminished as a result of unreasonable care, you will not be refunded the full amount.

All returns or exchange requests will be processed within 14 days (from notice of cancellation, or from the receipt of the goods if they have to be returned).

Is there a price match promise?

Yes, Worktop Express promises that it will match the price of any like-for-like worktop, as well as for its bespoke cutting service. To make a price match request, you should contact the Worktop Express customer service team. You can make a claim within 7 days of your order, and you will be refunded the price difference if your request is approved. To be eligible for price matching, the competitor's product must be exactly the same as the Worktop Express one and must be in stock. Is timber used for worktops FSC certified?

In order for the company to be sustainable, its suppliers and vendors must be, as well. Worktop Express only purchases timber from reputable vendors, and whenever possible sources timber that is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. It is also fully compliant with the legal requirements of the EUTR (European Union Timber Regulations) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).

FSC Certified Worktops - Most of the worktops are FSC certified. FSC promotes responsible forest management, ensuring their management is not only environmentally friendly but that it takes care of the safety and rights of the people working there, as well.

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification - PEFC is an international organization founded over 20 years ago, to meet the specific requirements of small forest owners. 

Since not all worktops are FSC certified, if you would want worktops from an FSC certified source, you should state this when placing your order.
