About NextUp

NextUp Comedy is a video streaming platform that offers a wide range of stand-up comedy specials. Anything from sketch and, character comedians to comedy storytellers and gag merchants, as well as some non-traditional live comedy performers. It brings you not only acknowledged comedians but some rising comedy stars as well.

NextUp was founded in 2016 by stand-up lovers Sarah Henley, Kenny Cavey, Daniel Berg, and Stuart Snaith. They were a team behind ComComedy (a YouTube channel and live comedy night) and FringeFunder (a crowdfunding platform for Fringe Shows).

Over the years, while attending gigs, interviewing comedians and filming shows, they've noticed three important problems and wanted to work on them. The first problem was the fact that due to different factors (date, location, ticket availability, ticket cost), comedy fans often aren't able to attend all the gigs they'd want. The second problem was that all the hard work and effort each comedian puts in its show, all that just disappears after the show since there's no visual record. And the last problem was that there's a wide variety of wonderful comedy talents, and only a few of them are on the TV.

It's carefully curating and bringing a selection of stand-up comedy shows worldwide, whilst supporting the comedy industry in all the possible ways.
